Christ Community Covenant Church is committed to Jesus’ commission to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

Prayerfully, personally and financially the church is directly involved in mission in our own community, across the nation and around the world. Every month a different mission opportunity is brought before the church for prayer and financial support. Included in these opportunities are six families who are serving as missionaries in various parts of the world, two Christian radio stations (KJLY and KICY), Lake Beauty Bible Camp, Transitional Housing in Steel County and several agencies within the Evangelical Covenant denomination such as Covenant World Relief and Covenant World Mission.

It is a privilege to be able to support these worldwide efforts in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Personally, everybody supports the mission, and many people in the church are directly involved in mission both locally and beyond. Several serve the community of Owatonna through a jail ministry, Salvation Army, Christian Women’s Club and other service organizations.

Mission Experiences of our Church Members

There are also some members of the church who travel to different parts of the United States and the world on mission trips. Some are away for a few weeks and others for several months; and they have been to Texas, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Haiti and Japan. Mission, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of our world, is a very important part of the ministry of our church. In fact, in response to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, it is essential, and it is with joy that we can be involved in this worldwide extension of our ministry.
